International Office, Tadulako UNIVERSITY – The US Government through the US Agency for International Development announced a new period of funding through the Partnership Program Enhanced Engagement in Research (PEER) for research on climate change, education and wildlife trade.
PEER is a function of providing funds through a competitive process that invites scientists from developed countries to support research on key developmental issues that are important to USAID.
PEER conducted under a partnership with the parties that receive funding from the US Government and certain private.
PEER USAID program to date has provided research funding of 1.6 million dollars to 37 researchers from Indonesia. In 2015, the funds given to seven research activities that help conserve marine biodiversity, protect the environment and promote education in Indonesia.
The value of the PEER initiative can not be calculated only with the discovery of a number of valuable new data and knowledge that is useful for Indonesia and other countries, but also to increase the capacity of research and development in Indonesia which will improve the welfare of its people, says Brian.
In this period, applicants are asked to submit a pre-proposal two pages in English and must be received no later than January 15, 2016.
In late February, the short-listed applicants will be asked to submit a full proposal must be submitted in April 2016.
